Blitz Sports Previews Lumpkin County Volleyball

Volleyball Tryouts

High school volleyball tryouts will be July 13 & 14 from 8-10 am at LCHS. All LCHS students wanting to try out for volleyball must have a current physical and paperwork on file with the school. Please bring your own water bottle to tryouts. Email Coach Dibble with any questions!

Lumpkin Volleyball Faced Calhoun In State Playoffs

Lumpkin Indians traveled to Calhoun for the first round of the State Playoff Tournament today. The Indians were a fourth seed from our region and Calhoun was a number one seed. The first set ended up Lumpkin 10 Calhoun 25. The Indians fought hard in the second set and ended up Lumpkin 16 Calhoun 25.

Two Lumpkin Ladies Named To The All Area 7-AAA Volleyball Team

Not only did Lumpkin Volleyball qualify for the State Tournament, but two of the Lumpkin Ladies received All Regional Tournament Honors.  Kiersta Trammell and Makenzie Caldwell were named to the All Area 7-AAA Volleyball Team. Congratulations Ladies! Go Indians!!! Indian Pride!

Lady Volleyball Headed To State Tournament

The Indians secures a top 4 spot with straight set win vs Fannin County in the third round of the Area Tournament. Next up for the Lady Indians was Cherokee Bluff.  The Bluff defeated the Indians in straight sets. The Lady Indians did clinch a spot in the State Playoffs. Go Indians!!! Indian Pride! Lumpkin Volleyball Met Flowery Branch Thursday Evening

Lumpkin County volleyball started the match with a first set win 25-21. Flowery Branch came back and won the next two sets 19-25 and 19-25. Lumpkin Ladies kept the fourth set close but Flowery Branch prevailed 21-25. Lumpkin is now 19-17 overall. The Indians will host Dawson County on Tuesday for Senior Night. Go Indians!!!

Lumpkin Volleyball Rocks Vs East Hall Today

The Lumpkin Ladies were on a roll this afternoon against East Hall. The JV squad won in a 2-0 sweep of East Hall. The Varsity was not to be shown up by the JV defeated East Hall 2-0 also. The Ladies travel to Flowery Branch on Thursday. Go Indians!!! Indian Pride!

Lumpkin Volleyball In A Split Thursday Evening

The ladies had matches against Rabun and West Hall last night at home. In the Rabun match the Indians won in three sets. Against West Hall the Indians lost 0-2. Lumpkin will face Cherokee Bluff on Saturday at The Bluff. Go Indians!!! Indian Pride!

Lumpkin Volleyball With A Split Tuesday Night

The Lumpkin County Ladies volleyball team lost the region match against North Hall by a score of 2-1 Tuesday. The Indians bounced back and defeated the region match against Fannin County by a score of 2-0.  On Thursday the Indians will face non-region opponent West Hall at home. Go Indians!!!
