Head Boy’s Basketball Press Release

From Dr. Rob Brown Superintendent Lumpkin County Schools Mr. Michael Parker has been selected and approved to serve as Head Boys Basketball Coach at Lumpkin County High School. Mr. Parker is currently on staff teaching at LCHS in the Social Studies Department. Mr. Parker earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science Education from North Georgia

Coach Parker has been a assistant to retired coach Jeff Steele  and is a Social Studies teacher at Lumpkin County High School. Congratulations Coach Parker on being named Head Boys Basketball Coach. BLITZ Sports Names One Lumpkin County Finalist For Player Of The Year

41 nominees and honorable mentions have now become a finalist pool of 6 for Boys Basketball Player of the Year. The voting is NOT public; our internal voting panel will vote Heisman-style for the winner of the award. Lumpkin Counties Pat Jackson is one of the finalist this year. Lumpkin County Men Faced Cherokee Bluff In Region 7 Tournament

In the first round of the Region 7 basketball tournament the Lumpkin County Men faced Cherokee Bluff. The winner will advance to the second round facing Dawson County at East Hall. The first period started out slow with the score being 4-5 at the 3:29 mark. The period ended with Lumpkin with 11 and Cherokee

Region 7 AAA Basketball First Round Announced

Lumpkin County Ladies will face Fannin County at North Hall on Wednesday February 5 at 4:30. The Lumpkin County Men will face Cherokee Bluff at GAC on Tuesday February 4 with a 4:30 start. Go Indians!!! Indian Pride!
